The Wolfe Brothers announce hometown Tassie shows
Tassie’s favourite sons The Wolfe Brothers have added more Tassie shows to their Let’s Hit The Road tour, their final run before heading off to Tamworth Country Music Festival at the end of January. The band have been on the road solidly throughout 2017, whether with their own headline show, or with their mate Lee Kernaghan on his 25th Anniversary Tour. Never ones to kick back and relax, their bringing their music back to where it all started – at home in Tasmania, with two massive shows at opposite ends of the state – one in December and one to kick off 2018 in style at the start of January.
Easily one of the hardest working bands on the circuit today, if they’re not touring, they’re writing and recording – in fact, they haven’t really stopped since they smashed onto the Australian scene back in 2012. They spent part of the year in Nashville working on material for their forthcoming new album and already have a swag of dates locked in for what is shaping up to be a massive 2018.
Rightfully considered as one of the hottest live country bands in Australia, The Wolfe Brothers are renowned for their tight performances and affable approach. They have already knocked out an impressive run of dates on the first leg of the Let’s Hit The Road tour, and the second leg – slated for 2018 – will be announced in coming weeks to run throughout 2018. The band is looking forward to sharing some of their biggest hits – and new material – with fans on the road.
Lead singer Nick Wolfe says no night will be the same. “We are trying to evolve as a band,” he says. “We do not want to stay the same all the time, we want to grow and get better at what we do. Our goal is to achieve this on the new tour by giving the audience all the hit songs with some nostalgic covers but also share some new music with them before we release these songs on next album. It is always very satisfying to get the reaction of the hard-core fans to our new songs. We genuinely like to get them involved in the lead up to releasing a new album, and there is no better way to do that than to get the fan’s opinion of some new songs.”
The Wolfe Brothers most recent album This Crazy Life hit #2 on the ARIA country charts and has spawned three #1 singles, making it 10 singles in a row from the last 3 albums to hit the #1 spot on the country charts. The current radio release, a duet with Lee Kernaghan on his single Damn Good Mates, has also spawned airplay around the country.
